"Genocide Is Not an Olympic Event," "No genocide Olympics," "No Olympic Games for perpetrators of genocide," and "Stop the genocide of Palestinians,", … are the slogans heard in the global campaign against France long may it ban Israel from participating in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Iran PressCommentary: Two days ago, the Israeli regime and Mali teams faced each other in the Paris Olympic soccer games. The match was held as the host, Paris, was concerned about ensuring the security of the Israeli athletes.

The match started with the extensive presence of security forces outside the Parc de Prince stadium. Members of the Israeli team arrived in the green rectangular while being accompanied by a heavy police escort, with motorcyclists in front and several riot police vehicles behind them.

The time came to chant anthems; Mali fans sang their national anthem with pride. But when it came to the Israeli regime's anthem, the boos and whistles immediately went up. Yet, in an effort to mitigate the viewers' boos, the speaker system of the stadium got significantly louder.

About 10 months have passed since the Israeli regime launched an all-out war on the Gaza Strip, having killed more than 39,000 people, wounded over 90,000 others, and displaced about 2 million people and now the cradle of human rights welcomes the Israeli regime and vows to ensure utmost security for the regime's teams in Paris 2024 Olympics.

Déclaration des droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen (The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen) set by France's National Constituent Assembly defines a single set of individual and collective rights for all men. These rights are held to be universal and valid in all times and places. It says "social distinctions may be founded only upon the general good." It says people have certain natural rights to property, to liberty, and to life.

So, it is not surprising that the Israeli regime's participation in the 2024 Olympic Games is boycotted, on the one hand, and France's hosting of such a genocide regime is condemned by the people of the world.

Of course, such double standards are normal in the Western states' policy as they are tasked to protect the US apple of eyes, Israel.

As a result of the Zionist regime's war, 350 sports professionals including athletes and referees were martyred, 55 sports buildings were devastated, and stadiums turned into detention centers.

France's inviting the Israeli regime to Paris comes as the people of the world hate the Israelis' brutality and war crimes on the one hand and protest against the hypocrisy of the international bodies.

UFA banned Russia's soccer teams from the European league two years ago and was not allowed to take part in the Qatar 2023 World Cup under the pretext that Russia attacked Ukraine.  Yet, a Swedish political expert Helen Silert believes that it is of the West's hypocrisy that the International Olympic Committee has in its record the ban on athletes from South Africa, Belarus, and Russia, but says no words about boycotting a regime that has massacred about 40,000 people most of the children and women.
