The head of Iran's judiciary, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, has emphasized that the Islamic Republic values human rights and regards it as very important, since in Islam, and in the traditions of Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) , special attention has been paid to human rights, it is highly valued, and is regarded as very important.
Speaking at a one-day conference on human rights and human dignity on Sunday morning, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani emphasized that so-called champions of human rights in the West have had a muted response to the gross violations of the human rights of the Bahraini people, but they have been vociferous in their support of human rights of rioters in Iran -- people who loot, smash things, and set fire to shops and retailers in Tehran.
Criticising the state of human rights in the world today, Amoli Larijani said: "War crimes are being committed in Yemen. Attacks on mosques, hospitals and archeological sites in Yemen are indeed text-book examples of war crimes. In Palestine human rights are being routinely violated. In Bahrain, hospital patients, women and children are being attacked by the Saudi-led military forces. Just a few days ago, a hospital was attacked by Saudi-UAE military forces , in Hodeidah , Yemen. More than 200 hospital patients were murdered (martyred). A very clear example of war crime being committed in Yemen. But (Western) champions of human rights have shut their eyes , and refuse to say anything, about these egregious violations of human rights in Yemen and Bahrain.
However , when it comes to Iran, so-called Western supporters of human rights are backing rioters -- people who smash things and set fire to vehicles and shops. They back the "human rights of the rioters". The duplicity and deceit of Westerners is quite clear.
Elaborating further , Ayatollah Amoli Larijani said: "The US occupation and invasion of Iraq was a classic text-book example of violation of the human rights of the Iraqi people. They violated the human rights of virtually each and every Iraqi citizen. They violated the rights of the Iraqi nation. The Americans destroyed Iraq's infrastructure , and they destroyed Iraq's oil industry. And today the Americans are signing 25 year oil contracts in Iraq, in a way reaping the reward of their malicious acts.
"In Afghanistan and Palestine , human rights are being violated with America's approval and green light."
In further remarks, the head of Iran's judiciary said: "The creation, training and arming of Daesh (ISIS ) terrorists by the U.S. government, is itself a conspicuous violation, a huge violation of human rights".
"Donald Trump, before he became president, during his presidential campaign, clearly and openly accused both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton of "creating Daesh / ISIS terrorists" . But now that Trump has become president, his administration is pretending to fight Daesh with the so-called US-led coalition, but in reality the Americans are supporting Daesh / ISIS terrorists and providing them with weaponry."
On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Iran, which rushed to the defense of innocent people who had suffered at the hands of Daesh (ISIS ) terrorists, in Iraq and Syria, is being accused of 'violating human rights'.
Elsewhere in his remarks , the head of Iran's judiciary said: "Americans wanted to sully the reputation of Islam , they wanted to ruin the image of Islam, they wanted to create chaos within Islamic countries, they wanted a reason to establish military bases in Islamic lands, and that is why they created Daesh (ISIS ) terrorists. Then they claimed fighting Daesh / ISIS terrorists, would take more than 20 years".
