Middle East: An official source at the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said Monday that Syria strongly condemns the US administration against the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as 'a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Iran.'
According to Iran Press citing, the Syrian Arab News Agency 'SANA', the source added that the irresponsible step of the US administration comes in the framework of the declared war launched by the US against Iran, adding it comes in the interest of the Israeli occupation and the western colonial project of hegemony on the region.
“The US measure is a legion of honor and a recognition of the pioneering role of the Iranian revolution Guard in defending Iran’s sovereignty and its independent national decision and its important role in the Axis of Resistance,” the source added.
Lebanon condemns US illegal move
Lebanon is also said to condemn Us illegal measure against Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps to show the solidarity with the Iranian nation.
US President Donald Trump designated Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization on Monday 8 April 2019.
This is the first time Washington formally labeled another country's military a terrorist group.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps has a key role in fighting the US-backed terrorist groups in the middle east region.
The IRGC provides advice and assistance to fight the Takfiri terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria, following official requests from governments in Baghdad and Damascus, an action that is by no means appealing to the president of the United States, Donald Trump. 103/203
