Hamas: Netanyahu, Abbas meeting is Inconclusive

A Hamas spokesman has emphasized that the meeting between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli PM Netanyahu has not resulted in anything worthwhile for the Palestinian people.

Iran Press/Middle East: Hazem Ghasem said in a statement that Abbas readiness for a meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu is the continuation of Palestinian National Authority's fantasizing about positive impact of such meetings for Palestinian people.

Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Wednesday that he will take part in a trilateral meeting with Netanyahu and Russian president, Vladimir Putin, Iran Press reported.

In his statement, Hazem Ghasem reiterated: "The leaders of National Authority and Fatah movement should pave the way for realization of national unity and implementing national reconciliation agreements and also put an end to the punishment of Gaza Strip and unilateral decisions if they are interested in tackling the Zionist regime's violations."

The announcement of a meeting between Abbas and Netanyahu is while Israeli PM may be forced to abandon his trip to Moscow due to his financial corruption case.
