Iran Press/Middle East: Global military spending increased last year to its highest level since the Cold War, with the United States, China, and Saudi Arabia topping the list, according to the International Institute of strategic research.
According to this data, the US military budget is 10 times bigger than Russia's budget.
The US remained the world's largest spender with $44bn increase, expend $643bn for its military.
China holds second place with $168bn and Saudi Arabia with $83 come on the 3rd place.
The war in Yemen from 2015 and direct and secret military interferences in Iraq and Syria, also military support to militant groups across the region, led Saudi Arabia to increase its military expending.
Russia with expending $63bn stayed in the 4th place followed by India, UK, French, Japan, Germany and South Korea as 6th to 10th place respectively.
While Iran is not among the first 15 countries of the biggest military expenders, the Zionist regime with $21bn is in the 14th place.
