At least two Palestinians were martyred after being shot by Israeli soldiers close to Gaza's border fence, in 46th week of great 'March of Return' protests.

Iran Press/Middle East: Thousands of Palestinians protested on Friday at the Gaza border in the 46th week of great 'March of Return' protests. The protesters demanded the lifting of Gaza's Israeli-imposed blockade.

Gaza's Ministry of Health confirmed that at least two Palestinians were shot and martyred by Israeli soldiers, one of them a 14-year-old teenager named 'Hassan Iyad Shibli' who died after being shot in the chest, Iran Press reported.

Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said in a statement, at least ten people were shot and injured by the Israeli army. The Israeli military regularly use live rounds against peaceful unarmed Palestinian protesters.

'The Great March of Return' protests were launched on 30 March 2018 by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza--who have suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege. The protesters gather at the border to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands, now in present-day Israel.

Since Palestinians began holding rallies along the buffer zone in March of last year, more than 250 protesters have been killed and thousands more injured by Israeli army gunfire.
