Gazan stage fresh round of Great march of return for 43rd week in Gaza border on Friday afternoon.

Iran Press/Middle East: Thousands of Gazan gathered in eastern part of enclave's border with occupied lands for the 43rd consecutive week, calling for their rights, rights that world for decades turned their blind eyes on it like rights of refugees to return to their occupied homelands, ending Zionist imposed blockade on Gaza and also rising their voice to put an end on Zionist occupation.

Palestinian protests - Great march of return - began on March 30 2018 for the commemoration of Land Day, when in 1976 six Palestinian citizens in occupied lands were killed by Israeli forces after protesting the confiscation of their land,Iran Press reported.

Demonstrations continued until May 15, which marked 70 years since the Nakba - the ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians by Zionist militias to make way for the creation of so-called state of Israel.

According to latest statistics, Israeli forces killed 290 Palestinians, 55 of whom were minors, during 2018. 254 of them in Gaza and the rest in the West Bank.

Most of the Palestinians killed during the demonstrations were shot in weekly clashes, but others have been hit by Israeli tank fire or air raids.

241 people and more than 20,000 other just injured in Gaza protest.

The report, published Thursday said these killings are a direct result of Israel’s reckless open-fire policy, authorized by the Zionist government and the top military command, and backed by the judicial system.

As long as Israel adheres to this policy, despite its predictable outcomes, the casualties will continue to amass.

Israeli forces continued to use excessive force against peaceful protests in the Gaza Strip. A woman and a child were killed during the 42nd week of the Return and Breaking the Siege March. 143 civilians, including 34 children, 3 women, 3 journalists, and 3 paramedics, were wounded; the injury of 3 of them were reported as serious.

Last week an Israeli military spokesman said around 13,000 Palestinians had taken part in the demonstrations.

The demonstrators are calling for the lifting of an Israeli-Egyptian blockade imposed on Gaza for over a decade and for the right to return to their ancestral homes in Israel, as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.

Israeli soldiers and snipers use 'live rounds' against unarmed peaceful protesters, something which has been widely condemned by the international community.
