Yemeni army hits Saudi military base in Najran
Yemeni army soldiers, supported by allied fighters from Popular Committees, have reportedly carried out an aerial attack on Saudi military targets in Najran.
Iran Press/ Middle East: Yemeni military units launched two domestically-developed Zelzal-1 (Earthquake-1) ballistic missile against a gathering of Saudi soldiers in Najran, in southern Saudi Arabia.
The Yemeni attack led to killing and injuring of dozens of the mercenaries, according to the Yemeni Arabic-language al-Masirah television network.
The Yemeni army repelled an infiltration of mercenaries of US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition in Najran border province, a military official confirmed.
Furthermore, the army destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to the militias during the offensive.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, which has invaded Yemen, has carried out new airstrikes in the Red Sea port of Hudaydah despite a ceasefire agreement and shortly after a meeting there involving UN observers.
The attacks hit an area near Qabiah Village in Bayt al-Faqih District on Friday.
Earlier, the observers had met with representatives of Yemen’s former government, which the Saudi-led invasion seeks to restore, and the popular Houthi Ansarullah movement, which defends the country against the invaders.
According to the agreement, two sides must withdraw from the port and hand it over to UN observers.
Some 16,000 Yemenis have been killed and thousands more injured since the onset of the Saudi-led aggression.
The Saudi-led war has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories. The UN has already said that a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in dire need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger. According to the world body, Yemen is suffering from the most severe famine in more than 100 years.
The assaults of the Saudi-led coalition forces have failed to stop the Yemenis from resisting the aggression.101/ 211 / 202
