An Iraqi trade delegation from the central-southern province of al-Qadisiyah on Saturday paid a visit to the southwestern Iranian province of Khouzestan.

On the sidelines of the visit, Chairman of Diwaniyah Chamber of Commerce Mahmoud Abdel-Hassan Al-Leithi said that there are good capacities for boosting cooperation between Diwaniyah and Khouzestan in various fields, including tourism, agriculture, energy and health.

For her part, Head of Ahvaz Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture Shahla Amouri welcomed strengthening and expansion of relations between the two Iranian and Iraqi provinces.

She pointed to good trade ties between Iran's Khuzestan and Maysan Governorate as well as Basra Governorate in Iraq, noting that Iran is keen to hold an exhibition in Iraq's  Diwaniyah.

Recently, in a meeting with Iraqi prime minister's national security advisor Faleh Fayyaz , Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, said that Iran and Iraq are two partners , adding that the effects of mutual cooperation is so much, but it does not mean that their function should be the same, but are complementary.

Qadisiyah Governorate is in central-southern Iraq. Its provincial capital is Diwaniyah.
