Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) launched an operation on Saturday to clean Tuz Khurmatu city, south of Kirkuk of Daesh terrorists.

Popular Mobilization Forces, assisted by Iraqi police forces and the rapid response groups, and supported by Iraqi army helicopters have begun to clear parts of Kirkuk province ,  chasing away ISIS terrorists who are still active in the province.

According to a statement by Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the operation aims to annihilate ISIS (or Daesh ) terrorists who are still active in the region and neighbouring areas.

According to Iraqi media reports, some Daesh / ISIS terrorists,  with the help of various  extremist groups, have killed many civilians over the past few months by setting up fake checkpoints across Kirkuk  province.
