Iran Press/Iran news: Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Health Insurance Organization of Iran, Taher Mohebati, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency, emphasized that the national Healthcare project known as 'Overhaul of public health' has been very effective and successful, adding one of the government's main goals in introducing the scheme 'Overhaul of public health' has been to reduce the costs of medical treatment and by and large this has been achieved with medical treatment costs for the public being reduced from 60 percent to 45 percent.
Iran's top Health official added that the patients who were hospitalized used to pay 37 percent of the whole medical payments but the figure has been minimized to less than 10 percent due to Iran's recent health insurance policies.
Mohebati who was in the Eastern city of Birjand also called the development of the free medical insurance all across the Islamic Republic of Iran as another goal of the project and highlighted that Iran Health Insurance Organization aims for the day where no Iranian will be deprived of the insurance.
CEO of Iran Health Insurance Organization also stressed that the body is after the efficient, Health insurance policy which is based on the scientific superiority and capabilities.
