Tabriz (IP) - First international conference on 'Tourism Fiqh' (Tourism Jurisprudence) to promote 'Halal Tourism' in Islamic countries is underway in Tabriz, the capital city of East Azerbaijan Province in northwestern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Two day 'Tourism Jurisprudence' conference is held on 24-25 April with the attendance of researchers from 50 different countries of the world, hosted by Tabriz municipality.

The conference aims to introduce the potentials of Tabriz as a Muslim tourism spot and promote Halal Tourism in Tabriz and other cities in Iran as well as other Islamic countries, Iran Press reported.

More than 300 researchers and scholar in the field of Islamic tourism and Halal tourism from abroad and a number of domestic scholars attend the Tabriz conference.
