Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan in his first official state visit to Iran was welcomed by the governor-general of Khorasan Razavi province and other senior local officials.

Iran Press/Iran news: After holding talks with the governor-general of Khorasan Razavi province, Pakistan's Prime Minister is to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).

He will leave Mashad for Tehran on Sunday night, Iran Press reported.

Imran Khan’s trip is taking place upon an official invitation of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. 

The trip by Pakistan's Prime Minister is expected to boost and further develop relations between Tehran and Islamabad, especially those related to regional cooperation in fighting terrorism and safeguarding borders in line with good neighborliness and historic and religious commonalities between the two countries. 103/211
