Iran's Qom commemoration ceremony for martyr Jihad Mughniyah
Qom (IP) - A Youth Resistance Conference and Commemoration Ceremony for Jihad Mughniyah's martyrdom, was held on Thursday in the holy city of Qom in central Iran.
Iran Press/Iran News: Senior Iranian cleric and head of the Guardian Council, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Hojjat-ol-Islam Hashem Heydari cultural deputy of Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (al-Hashhd al-Shabbi), family of Martyr Mughniyah and people and officials from all walks of life participated in this ceremony.
Ayatollah Jannati delivered a speech in this ceremony and said: "Resistance is a miracle of our time that vitalizes Islam's power."
Ayatollah Jannati stressed that Islam is on the rise and Imperialism is on the wane.
Jihad Mughniyah is Imad Mughniyah's son, a high-ranking Hezbollah figure, who was assassinated on Feb. 12, 2008, in a car bomb in Syrian capital Damascus, detonated remotely by Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad in an operation aided by CIA.
In January 2015, Jihad Mughniyah a Hezbollah fighter was martyred with five other members of the movement in an Israeli airstrike in Syria's Golan Heights. 205/211/103
