Member of Iran's Expediency Council, Seyyed Mostafa Agha Mirsalim has praised the Islamic Republic's multi-faceted progress and improvements over the past 40 years.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Monday, the member of Iran's Expediency Council said: "Thank God, 40 years after the Islamic revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made considerable progress in many different fields, such as cultural, political, and social progress. Politically, we are an independent country today."

Speaking on the sideline of 11 February (22 Bahman) rallies in support of the Islamic Revolution Mirsalim added: "Alas, if only our ill-wishing enemies knew what the true message of Islamic Revolution is, they would have benefitted and humanity would have benefitted. If our enemies had understood the universal message of this revolution, and if they wanted to help humanity as they claim, then putting into practice our message would have benefitted humanity."

Referring to Iran's cultural and social progress, Mirsalim referred to the Iranian nation's political awareness and stressed that Iran today is a stable country, a democratic country, and Iranian people are law-abiding.

Turning to Iran's undeniable progress in science and technology, Mirsaleem said: "Iran has made stunning progress in many disciplines of science and technology, such as biotechnology, peaceful nuclear science and engineering, aerospace, defense and military industry. This progress bodes well for Iran's future, and we shall attain the high status that we truly deserve within the international community."
