Iran Press/ Iran news: The Police Chief of Sistan and Balouchestan province Brigadier General Mohammed Ghanbari said on Thursday that 2 insurgents were killed during an armed attack on the police car in Sistan and Baluchistan province in the southeast of Iran.
The clashes between police forces in Zahedan (capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province) and the gunmen were also reported, Iran Press reported.
Earlier on 12 pm, a team of Zahedan police forces which was involved with transferring 3 defendants with narcotics charges to the border city of Saravan, was attacked by the gunmen.
Ghanbari went on to say that one of the policemen have been injured during the incident and some arms including 2 Kalashnikovs and ammunition were also found.
Also on Feb. 06, unknown gunmen attacked a police post in the city of Sarbaz in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
