Iran Press/Iran news: In a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday morning, to fight and stop burglary, the deputy police chief, commander Ayoub Soleimani added: "Because of their effect on personal security, burglary and theft are extremely important from the point of view of the police force."
The deputy police chief added: "As you all know police is duty bound to maintain peace and security within society, and burglary has a negative impact on people's sense of well-being and security," Iran Press reported.
He added, "Over 20 percent of people's sense of insecurity goes back to burglary in particular. The other factors which create a sense of insecurity are: breaking and entering, car theft, motorcycle theft, muggings, bag snatching, and pick pocketing. Thus burglary is a very important issue for us, since it has such a pronounced effect on people's sense of security."
Deputy police chief, Ayoub Soleimani added: "For a number of years until the second half of last year, we had witnessed a steady reduction in the number of burglaries throughout the country."
