Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, the Iranian Foreign Minister met and conferred with Mahmoud al-Zahar, the head of a Palestinian parliamentary delegation at the Foreign Ministry in Tehran on Sunday.
The two sides talk about issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Foreign Minister Zarif reiterated that the world of Islam, despite some disagreements and differences of opinion, should unite round the axis of supporting the Palestinian struggle, to end once and for all the abuse and repression of Palestinians which has sadly gone on for a long time.
Zarif also said: "It is unfortunate that some within the Islamic world are against the axis of resistance."
Mahmoud al-Zahar as one of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) leaders, member of Hamas political bureau, and the head of Hamas parliamentary delegation, has met and conferred with senior Iranian officials in his visit to Tehran.
Palestinian Delegation before meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif, met Ali Akbar Velayati Special Aid to the Leader of the Islamic revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on late Friday.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in the meeting has reiterated on the Iranian support for Palestine, stressed on the importance of making more efforts to expose brutal crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the oppressed Palestinian nation.
The top Iranian parliamentarian expressed hope that "all countries in the region and across the world will boost their support for the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas) so that this movement becomes stronger day by day.”
Zahar, the co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in the Gaza Strip, hailed Iran's support for the Palestinian people and officially invited Ali Larijani to make a visit to the Gaza Strip.
Also, Palestinian delegation on Friday met Senior adviser to Iran’s Leader Ali Akbar Velayati.
Velayati hailed that the only way to foil Zionists' and enemies’ conspiracies is resistance, noting that the Axis of Resistance is getting stronger every day.
For his part, Zahar expressed gratitude to Iran for supporting the Palestinian nation, saying the Islamic awakening movement is growing and will lead to resistance’s ultimate victory. 211 / 103
