Iran Press/Iran news: "Iran gives advisory support to those fighting against terrorism, but it is the people's spirit of resistance that defeats terrorism, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Saturday addressing a forum in Tehran.
"Iran's defensive power is ten times greater than what most media reports suggest," Iranian Defense Minister added, according to an Iran Press report.
"We turned the imposed war on Iran into an opportunity to make our defense system stronger, and we will use this strategy in confrontation with sanctions," Brigadier General Amir Hatami added.
Iranian Defense Minister also rejected the US officials' claims that the Yemeni people could resist against the Saudi-led coalition's devastating war for four years due to Tehran's support.
"Today, Yemen has turned into a thorn in the eyes of the Americans and it has stood against a big plot. The Americans have raised allegations against Iran, claiming that we have not allowed them to win the war in Yemen," General Hatami said.

"They think that the Yemeni people's resistance is due to Iran's support but we support them spiritually and the resistant spirit of the nations who are not willing to come along with the Americans' oppression have made them victorious," Iranian Defense Minister added.
Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates and several other countries, has engaged in military aggression against Yemen and ground sieges, naval and air strikes since March 2015.
The war initiated by Saudi Arabia and its' allies in Yemen has killed more than 14,000 Yemeni people, injured tens of thousands and displaced millions of Yemenis.
