The Defense Minister, Brigadier-General Amir Hatami, said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not yield to mounting enemy pressure, under any circumstances.

The defense minister added:  "We are now experiencing a different situation which is full of opportunities, but all of us should pay attention to the existing threats to avoid their negative impacts."

He added:  "The enemy is exerting more pressure on us, in an attempt to make us bow, but we know what is going on in their minds. Everyone is aware that the enemy has totally ignored its international  commitments and pledges , abrogating a multilateral  agreement to which it was a signatory."

There is no doubt that Iranians will pave their path despite hard times ahead of them, he said. It is a legitimate right of the Iranian people to enjoy a reasonable standard of living, and all people will resist against  bullying (by the enemy ).

He also called for closer cooperation between state-run and private sectors in dealing with economic problems and obstacles.

Earlier, Tehran's Interim Friday prayers leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, has stressed that Iran's enemies are definitely not trustworthy, and all of us should keep that in mind for the future. He was referring to America's decision, last May, to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal.

Participating in the May Day festival, a national festival for workers, on Sunday 29 April  2018, President Rouhani  referred to the enemies' plots to dash the hopes of the Iranian  nation, president Rouhani said:  "There is a man in the United States who has recently come to power.

He always uses foul language, he always uses bad words in relation to Iran. He dreams of a day  that the Islamic Republic shall not see the 40th anniversary of its establishment.

But today,  much to his chagrin and dismay, we are on the verge of the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution, and on 11th February,  22 of Bahman, masses (millions) of Iranians, shall celebrate the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution,   a glorious gathering and a glorious occasion.
