Iran Press/Iran News: According to an Iran Press report, speaking at a meeting of heads of the three branches of government in Tehran on Saturday, president Hassan Rouhani said: "The US government is trying to affect the lives and livelihoods of Iranian people negatively."
Rouhani added, "The Americans were hoping that 4 November would be crunch time for Iran but the Iranian people did the opposite and showed their resilience and endurance."
Iranian President also said, Iranian people proved that the one who is thinking of pressure and oppression is the American government.
Rouhani added: "Americans have targeted the banking system and oil exports and some other export items that are related to revenues and resources of the country."
“It was also revealed that the Americans cannot reduce Iran’s oil export to zero. Iranian officials were saying from the first day that Americans are not able to reduce Iran’s oil export to zero, but they kept repeating that they would do this and they recently had to admit that they cannot reduce Iran’s oil export to zero,” added Rouhani.

Iranian President also said, therefore, the point that the United States is trying to exert pressure on the Islamic Republic and not the Iranian people is completely misleading and incorrect.
The President also said, “In the coming months, Americans will understand well that the path they have chosen is wrong. This does not tire the Iranian nation, but makes them ready for more production and having closer relations with neighbours.”
“In today’s meeting with the head of the other two branches, the Speaker of the Parliament and the Head of the Judiciary, we discussed the current state of the economy, and the preparation of a roadmap for the coming months as the Leader of the Islamic revolution has instructed,” Rouhani noted.
President Rouhani also said, "Today, we discussed this roadmap and closer relations with neighbouring countries, as well as our economic relations and trade with various countries."
