Japanese new ambassador hands credentials to Iran FM
Japan's new ambassador to Iran Mitsuo Saito submitted a copy of his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday.
Tokyo and Tehran will celebrate the 90 anniversary of the opening of Japanese embassy in Tehran in 2019 and the two countries are working very closely to mark the occasion with the utmost glory.
President of Japan's International Friendship Exchange Council Ken Matsuzawa expressed his readiness for further development of relations and boosting of cooperation with Tehran, saying Tokyo is ready to further develop its ties with Tehran, despite the current difficult conditions.
Japanese officials have already met with a host of Iranian officials, athletes and artists in a bid to prepare for the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of opening diplomatic relations between the two countries.
