Iran news/ According to an Iran Press report quoting the official site of the Leader, in a meeting on Wednesday night with the heads of the three branches of the government, namely President Hassan Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, the Leader stressed that solving the current economic problems, and meeting the general needs of the people requires a great deal of practical work and effort, because these problems, especially the problem of rising prices and diminishing purchasing power, have caused hardship and problems for a sizable section of the population, especially the poor and those who are less-well-off.
Ayatollah Khamenei, praised the efforts of the heads of three branches of government and members of the Supreme Economic Coordination Council to participate actively in meetings and debates, and noted the main task of this council was to make large-scale economic decisions and determine macro-economic policy.
The Leader divided the economic problems into “internal and structural challenges of the country's economy” and “problems arising from US unjust sanctions”, adding that wise solutions were needed to take on each of these two sets of problems, which could lead to a sustainable improvement in people’s lives, and dashing the hope of the enemies, when they realize the ineffectiveness of the sanctions regime.
He further stressed that there is no “deadlock” or “unsolvable” problem in the country, voicing confidence that the Islamic Republic could overcome the current issues imposed by both inside and outside factors.
At the meeting, in which Iran's Vice-President and vice-chancellor of Judiciary Chief were also present, president Rouhani thanked the co-chairman of the Parliament Speaker and Judiciary Chief, and presented a report from the meetings of the Supreme Economic Coordination Council, and steps taken to ease economic pressure on ordinary people.
Also, speaking to a large gathering of Iran’s Basij volunteer forces and senior military officials on 4 October, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "Iran is facing economic hardship, but our economic problems can be solved. The enemies are trying to portray a false image of Iran."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added that Islamic republic in the past 40 years stood up to enemies' effort. Effort, planning and courage is necessary for success. Young people play a major role in achieving success. Young people offer solution to problems.
