An Iranian MP whose constituency is in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, Homayoun Yousefi, has emphasized that Iran will not bow to the super powers.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of Iranian parliament session on Tuesday, Yousefi said: "Iran demonstrated during different periods of its history that it does not obey any super power. In fact, super powers have had to retreat when they came up against Iran, so the country by using its' power will continue the path to success."

The representative of the southwestern city of Ahvaz in the Majlis Homayoun Yousefi added: "Iranian people stand firmly against the enemy, and terrorists do not have any root in our society."

Yousefi further noted:  "The enemy is trying to hurt Iran. Also the terrorists wanted to undermine Iran's willpower, but with Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) recent reaction to Ahvaz terror attack and also with the actions that have taken place over the past 10 years, it is clear that Iran's willpower is untouchable."

In the early hours of morning of October 1st, Iran launched a missile attack,  east of Euphrates in  eastern Syria to target culprits of the recent terror attack in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that the strike took place early Monday by the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, killing and injuring a large number of Takfiri terrorists and ringleaders of the September 22 attack.
