Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday said that the front of arrogance is troubled by the cooperation among Islamic countries.
Iran press/Iran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei at this meeting, regarded the most important need of the Muslim World today as increased closeness and synergy among Islamic countries, stating: “Closeness and cooperation among Islamic countries will surely pave the ground for resolving the problems of our region; as a result, the Front of Arrogance, with the U.S. at its' top, is troubled by the cooperation and friendly relations among Islamic countries and the formation of an Islamic power.
Ayatollah Khamenei described the concern as the reason behind animosity of the U.S. towards powerful Islamic countries and added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey are two powerful and dignified countries of the region and share the same motivations for the Muslim World; thus, political and economic relations between the two countries should expand.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the existing cooperation and good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey since the coming into power of the movement that advocates Islam in Turkey, and stressed: “The commonalities should be reinforced as much as possible.”
Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the positions taken by Erdoğan regarding the matters of Myanmar; then referring to the matter of Palestine, he reiterated: “The Palestinian cause is still very important and it should not be ignored even for a second.”
During this meeting, in which Iranian First Vice-President Es'hagh Jahangiri was also in attendance, the Turkish President regarded the situation of the region as critical, and hoped that by cooperation between the Islamic countries, the problems of the region will be resolved.
Erdoğan regarded lack of coherence and unity among Islamic countries as the reason behind the current situation and stated: “As a result of the behavior of the West towards independent Islamic countries, the situation has become extremely sensitive. For the same reason, solidarity and fraternity should expand, in particular, between Iran and Turkey.”
