Senior officials from the Education ministry attended the opening ceremony on Monday (23 July) at the "martyr Bahonar centre" in Tehran. Some 1500 male and female students, are taking part in this year's competition.
In the boys section, the students will compete on Tuesday and Wednesday (24 and 25 July ) in a number of disciplines , such as the Call to Prayer (Azaan ), Memorization and Recitation of the Holy Quran , and Eulogy. the closing ceremony for the boys competition will be held on Thursday 26 July.
In the girls section, students will compete on Sunday and Monday ( 29 and 30 July ). The closing ceremony for the girls competition will be held on Tuesday 31 July.
