The head of Iran's head of Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization,and Rouhani's vice president Ali Asghar Mounesan said on Friday July 2018 , that he believes that the cultural heritage can be considered as the key to develop international relations and ties for Islamic republic of Iran is rich with cultural and invaluable properties and resources. He also said that this very fact led Iran to have cooperation more in the field of museum with the different countries both in the regional and European countries .He went on to talk about the international cooperation with Louver Museum in the Iranian Nowrouz Holiday .He also said another cooperation with the museum of the Netherlands in form of delivering them some historical objects which later are going to be exposed to view in Tehran as well. Munesan also called cultural affairs and communications and cooperation as a great help for introducing Iran to the world specially at this time when US misbehavior is observed toward the country.
Appreciating the efforts of Stefan Scholz who serves as the current Austrian ambassador's to Iran , to hold a Symposium for commemorating the occasion when an European mountaineer who could successfully ascent Damavand Summit some 175 years ago. and Describing the event as the good one the Iranian vice president went on to say the cooperation between Iran and Austria is going to be expanded in the fields of academic and educational affairs .he express hope to cement the ties between the two countries in the field of tourism as well.Meanwhile , he went on to say that during the last 5 years the number of Austrian tourists has increased considerably .
Appreciating Iranian Vice president president in the ceremony and calling it as an honor , the Austrian ambassador to Iran said that Austria and Iran have a very special relation ship based on trust and credibility .Reffering to President Rouhani;s recent official visit to Austria to weeks ago he stressed the fact the two presidents had agreed on the very fact that Iran wants to enjoy the economic benefit from JCPOA as Iran is fulfilling its commitment in this regard as it has done so far."Austrian government has decided to create network of Bilateral sector partnerships and this visit is as the first concrete step in this direction ."said Scholz.
He also continued to say that even before the the Symposium starts ,some results have already been achieved: .Including educational and academic cooperation between the universities of the two sides in form of the research on Medicinal herbs of Damavand summit for years , Joint degree program on tourism and hospitality managment which is going to be created.
He called sector partnerships like this which would result in deepening the Autsrian-Iranian ties so that it will develop a cultural of togetherness which is so important in these complicated political situation..
He also said that the present time the Austrian air line is the only Western carrier with 2 flights per day to Tehran . However, he said that due to low capacity of the utilization, the other flights to destinations of Shiraz and Isfahan will be suspended up to winter schedule .
He also emphasized that Austrian air lines was the only air lines company which never stops its service to Iran even in the difficult times of revolution and during imposed war between Iran and Iraq .
Stressing the importance of handicraft tourism in Present administration , The Iranian vice president responding to Austrian ambassador says that in the spring this year despite of existing problems in the foreign currency , Foreign tourists visiting Iran has increased up to 30 percent.and in turn the number of the Iranians who have been to foreign countries fall to 5 percent.
Describing the statistics as the inviting one he expressed hope that through the future programs the number will be increased even more .He also hoped for betterment of the foreign currency crisis .He also described handicraft export as the good resource of the country's income in the category non petroleum exports.
The Munesan and the Austrian Ambassador came on the sidelines of Damavand 2018 Symposyim .
Damavand 2018 Symposium’ with a focus on winter sports was held in Niavaran cultural complex late Friday as part of the programs to mark the 175th anniversary of the first Austrian climbing Damavand. Some 50 Austrian mountain climbers and herbalists are currently in Iran to climb Damavand.
