A senior Iranian cleric on Friday urged national solidarity and unity against enemy pressures and threats.

The country needs unity and solidarity today, Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said in the second sermon of his Friday prayers speech.

He thanked the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Major General Qasem Soleimani for the letter, he wrote to President Hassan Rouhani in support of the government.

In the letter, the Iranian Quds Force commander has declared his full support to the government against foreign pressures.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers leader condemned the Zionist regime's attempts to divide Muslims and said the Zionists are seeking to make division and conflict among Muslims and make chaos in the Islamic World.
