Speaking to a large crowd of worshipers and the faithful in Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Movahedi-Kermani emphasized that the United States has only committed crimes and atrocities, it hasn't honoured any of its pledges , and it is only concerned about its own national interests -- and this is why the US government is hated around the world.
Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader went on to warn America by saying: "Sanction us as much as you want. But be aware that these sanctions will eventually result in your own collapse and disgrace".
Ayatollah Movahedi-Kermani went on to emphasize the importance of knowing who your friends and enemies are. He said: "The situation of the Islamic revolution is very sensitive today, we have to recognize this sensitivity , and the heavy responsibility that places on our shoulders.
In further remarks ,Ayatollah Movahedi-Kermani said Iran has raised the flag of Islam, Iran is the standard-bearer of the Islamic world, and this is why an extensive campaign has been launched against the Islamic Republic, by the enemies who are working together. They want to destroy the Islamic revolution, and thus we need to understand and know our enemies thoroughly.
Turning to the arrogant and hegemonic powers , Ayatollah Movahedi-Kermani stressed that today, they commit all sorts of crimes and murder in places like Yemen, Palestine, and against defenseless people everywhere , hoping to extend their oppressive and unjust rule (for many more years). But little do they realize that these crimes and murder of the innocent, will lead to their own collapse and destruction one day.
Turning to the blessed fasting month of Ramadhan, Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader said let us hope that during this blessed month, we increased our truthfulness, purity and piety -- indeed, this is something we should always strive to achieve, and not just in the blessed month of Ramadhan.
