Iran Press/Europe: Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, said on Monday.
It is essential that Iran continues to fully implement those commitments, Amano said, addressing IAEA’s board of governors in Vienna, RT reported.
The agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement, he said.
Evaluations regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran will continue, Amano added.
He went on to say that the agency undertakes analysis and takes action “in an impartial, independent and objective manner, within the existing safeguards framework.”
The statement referred to the Agency’s work in monitoring and verifying Iran’s implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Also on Sep 10, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said that Iran is implementing its' nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Tehran has said it would make a decision on its future role in the nuclear agreement in the coming weeks following negotiations with the other signatories to the deal.
