Thousands from all over UK unite against racism and rise of far right in Anti Racism Day march across London.

Iran Press /Europe: The demonstration organized by Stand Up To Racism, co-sponsored by Unite Against Fascism and LoveMusic HateRacism, and supported by Labour shadow home secretary Diane Abbott and Labour Party shadow chancellor of the exchequer John McDonnell, amongst others.

According to Iran Press, the National Unity Demonstration Against Racism and Fascism was addressed by Len McCluskey General Secretary of the TUC who gave a rousing speech, saying divisive movements threaten our lives.

With hate crime spiking and the far-right and neo-nazis emboldened around the world, 60 MPs, faith and community leaders and anti-racism campaigners wrote an open letter to the Guardian explaining why today’s march was important.

They said, “The impact of neoliberalism and austerity, and cuts on our working-class communities, has driven the growth of the far right. Racism and fascism are a threat to us all."

According to Iran Press, a British citizen said, "I am proud to be part of this demonstration that has been attended by the people."

She added, increasing the hatred behaviors are worrying us so we want to put an end to the implementation of austerity policies that threatens people's lives.

Another protester said the message of these protesters is that UK should not be turned into the land of fascists and racists.

A young protester said, "We want to take fascists and racists out of our streets." He added, "We want to stop the early elections and austerity policies that have expanded poverty in the UK." 101/202
