Eurasia Women Forum started its 2-day meeting on Thursday in St. Petersburg, Russia, with an Iranian parliamentarian taking part.

Iran Press- Europe/ The St. Petersburg forum, 'Women for Global Security and Sustainable Development', attracted about 2000 delegates from more than 100 countries, IRNA reported.
 
President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech in the inauguration ceremony of the forum.This is the second forum for Eurasia women that representatives from UNESCO, WHO, ILO and Brix Women's Trade Club participated in discussions of the forum.
 
The first session of the forum was also held in St. Petersburg in 2015. In addition to international organizations, women parliamentarians from various countries, women politicians, and top businesswomen attended the forum.
 
Iranian parliamentarian, Ms. Parvaneh Salahshuri, is representing the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Eurasia women meeting.
