Iran Press/ Middle East: In a telephone conversation with the politburo chief of Islamic Movement of Palestine (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, he said the resistance was superior to Israeli occupiers thanks to its solidarity and ethical power.
Zarif also expressed his dismay over United Nation's reactionary stance on Israeli regime's crimes in besieged Gaza Strip and said, "The UN has failed in rendering its ethical duty."
Haniyeh thanked Iran's top diplomat for expressing Iran's support to the Palestinian resistance.
Zarif also phoned Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine Ziad al-Nakhalah and condemned Israel's air strikes last week which martyred 34 Palestinians and wounded 100 civilians.
He congratulated Palestinians and the resistance movement for imposing a ceasefire on the Israeli regime.
