Iran Press/ Iran news: The deputy head of Arvand Free Zone Organization (AFZO) for Business Development and Investment Affairs, Seyyed Ali Mousavi, told Iran Press in Khorramshahr on Monday that $ 640 million worth of non-oil goods and services have been exported through Abadan ports, Khorramshahr and Shalamcheh border over the past six years, which indicates a 127% increase compared to the same period in 2018.
Mousavi stated: "In the past six months, $ 281 million worth of non-oil goods and services were exported from the ports of Abadan, Khorramshahr and the Shalamcheh border."
The official went on to say that through ports of Abadan, Khorramshahr, and Shalamcheh commercial border, commodities such as constructional materials, minerals, metals, food, fisheries, nuts, and dates have been exported to Iraq, Oman, Qatar, China, Australia, New Zealand, CIS (common-wealth states) and some European countries.
Being located in the southwest of Khuzestan province, in the cities of Abadan and Khorramshahr and Mino Island, Arvand Free Zone is one of Iran's highly important commercial and industrial areas. 207
