Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sideline of the 'Defence achievements exhibition' on Saturday, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said: "This exhibition demonstrates to the general public that even under the toughest and most stringent of sanctions, we have achieved great success, and we have made wonderful achievements. This exhibition symbolizes self-belief, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency. All these capabilities and potentials are inside Iran."
Iranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami added: "Actually we send a massage to Iranian people from this exhibition that if they (enemies) put us under pressure and if they slap sanctions on us, it will definitely turn into an opportunity which can be used to make the country even stronger."
He noted: "We can do something that in the future no country would dare to impose sanctions on us. In the defense sector , we have already done this. Today, no one can talk about slapping sanctions on Iran's defense sector because it will have no effect on us."
"They slapped (imposed) sanctions on us before but then we relied on our own resources and capabilities. So we could build whatever we wanted, in the shortest possible time, and we have turned ideas into prototypes / reality in an unbelievably short length of time. We have achieved this fete," Brigadier General Amir Hatami stated.
"Today, if a commander in the field (on the battlefield) presents a new idea to us, an idea which will help him on the battlefield, we have the power to turn this idea into a prototype defense product (a reality) very quickly, and use it for operations and defense," Iranian Defense Minister concluded.
