Iran Press/Iran news: In a statement on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi voiced Tehran’s support for the Afghan government and nation and described the perpetrators of such crimes as the enemies of humanity, peace, security, and stability of Afghanistan and the region.
Mousavi added that Afghanistan is having tough times and it’s going through a decisive era, as this road is fraught with problems and difficulties.
“Afghanistan could overcome these problems by uniting the people, the government, and all different groups and ethnicities,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman noted, adding Iran will continue to stand beside the country.
An explosion set off by a suicide bomber ripped through a wedding party in Kabul, Afghanistan killing 63 people and wounding 182 others on Saturday night.
This is the second time in the past year that a hotel crowd in Kabul has been hit by a suicide attack.
Last summer, a group of Afghan Sunni Muslim scholars were killed in a blast at the Uranus Hotel in Kabul.
