Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Turkey to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

Iran Press/Asia: Upon his arrival in Ankara, Mohammad Javad Zarif said that In Turkey, we will discuss the developments in Syria and North Africa.

He added that we are interested in solving Syria's problems through dialogue, especially among the countries of the region, Iran Press reported.

During the visit, all aspects of bilateral relations will be discussed and views on regional and international issues will be exchanged, a statement released by the Turkish foreign ministry also said.

In the meeting between the two sides, the Syrian crisis is expected to be the top issue on the agenda. Zarif's visit comes a week before the 12th Astana talks, which will be held in the Kazakh capital of Nursultan (also known as Astana) on 25-26 April.

Prior to his visit to Turkey, Zarif visited Damascus, and met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and other top Syrian officials. The top diplomat's one-day visit comes upon an official invitation from Assad.  101/211/202
