Iran, Pakistan stress forging legal cooperation

Iran and Pakistan have emphasized the need for further strengthening the legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries.

Iran Press/Asia: Iran's ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost in a meeting with Pakistan’s Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan in Islamabad discussed the need for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the legal and judicial sectors.

Referring to the achievements of the two countries in the legal sector over the past two years, the ambassador emphasized the importance of continuing regular interactions between the two states in order to expand bilateral ties and exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, IRNA reported.

For his part, the Attorney General of Pakistan emphasized the importance of continuing talks and consultations between the two sides. He added that there is a vast scope of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in legal and judicial sectors.

It should be noted that Attorney General of Iran Mohammad Jafar Montazeri visited Pakistan in October 2016 on the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart.
