Iran Press/Iran news: "Iran experienced sanctions before, and on that time both country's markets were opened for bilateral cooperation. So I suppose that sanctions would not have a great deal of effects on Iran- Pakistan relations," Head of Pakistan-Iran friendship council Assad Zahir noted.
"Considering the neighboring issue between Iran and Pakistan, sanctions on ships and insurances have no effect on our markets and it can be continued," Head of Pakistan-Iran friendship council said according to Iran Press.
"The current level of trade between Iran-Pakistan is just 5 percent of the present capacity so there is plenty of room for growth," Zahir added.
On 30 November, Pakistan Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi underscored the need for further promotion of bilateral relations with Iran.

"There is a huge opportunity for bilateral relationship between Iran and Pakistan. In the past, Iran imported rice from Pakistan but now provides it from other sources," Head of Pakistan-Iran friendship council noted.
"In current time, it is possible for Iran to import rice and fruits from Pakistan and also it is possible for the country to import oil based products and bitumen from Iran," Zahir said.
"Pakistani businessmen are interested to work in Iran but they are facing with some strict rules," Head of Pakistan-Iran friendship council added.
"Different countries have started facilitating trade cooperation, and I hope that Iran would follow this path," Head of Pakistan-Iran friendship council Assad Zahir concluded. 101/201
