Turkey has more evidence contradicting the Saudi version of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, including a second audio recording.

Iran Press/Asia: Turkey has more evidence, including a second, longer audio recording that contradicts with key claims of the Saudi public prosecutor’s and indictment against the suspected murderers of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to Turkish stated controlled media Hürriyet newspaper.

While indicting the suspects, the prosecutor also claimed that they killed the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi after a botched attempt aiming either to persuade him to return to Saudi Arabia or do it by force after drugging and kidnapping him, World bulletin reported.

According to the Turkish newspaper, a set of findings and evidence in Turkey’s own probe disprove some of the Saudi prosecutor’s claims over the killing.

Khashoggi, an outspoken critic of bin Salman, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2, but never came out alive.

Once inside, Khashoggi  was immediately strangled and then dismembered, according to the Istanbul Prosecutor’s office.

The Saudi government denied Khashoggi's killing for more than two weeks, but eventually admitted on 20 October that Khashoggi had been murdered in the consulate during an interrogation by 'rogue operatives that had gone wrong' after diplomatic pressure grew on the Kingdom to give an account of the mysterious fate of its national.

The Saudi first account from journalist death has been met with widespread international scepticism and allegations of a cover-up.

After 18 days of silence and rejecting claims that Khashoggi was killed, the Saudi government finally bowed down to international pressure on October 20th and claimed the prominent journalist was killed in a fist-fight inside Istanbul consulate.

Jamal Khashoggi once close aid of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and later active critic and dissident of al-Saud regime entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October and never exit.
