Iran's ambassador to the UN, Gholamali Khoshroo, has said: "The outgoing US ambassador to the UN is addicted to spreading Iranophobia."

America: According to an Iran Press report, in a statement issued on Monday night (November 19), Khoshroo stressed: "Once again, misusing the Security Council's summit on Middle East, the US ambassador to the UN, made groundless allegations against Iran on the basis of false information."

The statement added that the outgoing US ambassador accused Iran of carrying out terrorist acts using false and misleading information received from the terrorist group of mujahedeen-e khalq (MKO).

"The US ambassador also referred to what she described as an Iranian-backed attack on the Iraqi Consulate in Basra, which was again a groundless claim," the statement added.

Deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Committee (Al-Hashd Al-Sha'abi), said that the US embassy and consulate have been involved in recent unrest in Basra in September 09.

The statement emphasized that the long-standing addiction of the permanent US ambassador who likes to spread "Iranophobia" in order to divert world public opinion from the Israeli regime's crimes against the Palestinians, as well as the US's support for these crimes which is the country's main mission.
