Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on his twitter account on Saturday: “New intelligence from Iraq indicate that Israeli agent- provocateurs are plotting attacks against Americans- putting an outgoing Trump in a bind with a fake casus belli.”
He added: “Be careful of a trap, Donald Trump. Anyway fireworks will backfire badly, particularly against your same BFFs (close friends)."
In response to US military moves in the Persian Gulf, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also tweeted on Thursday: "Instead of fighting COVID in US, DonaldT and cohorts waste billions to fly B52s and send armadas to OUR region.”
His tweet also reads: “Intelligence from Iraq indicate plot to FABRICATE pretext for war.”
Zarif added: “Iran doesn’t seek war but will OPENLY and DIRECTLY defend its people, security and vital interests."
