Iran Press/Middle East: At the meeting which took place in Muscat, Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed the on-going Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, the latest political developments and events on the ground in Yemen.
Ansarullah Movement spokesman, Mohammad Abdul Salam, also briefed Zarif on the on-going war in his country.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and a number of other countries have invaded Yemen and imposed a total land, sea and air blockade of the country for almost five years now, since March 2015. The war has caused a humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the Arab world.
The Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is currently visiting Oman, heading a diplomatic and business delegation to the country. He is expected to be back in Tehran on Tuesday night.
