Zarif: Iran not to renegotiate JCPOA; US must return to 2015 nuclear Deal

Tehran (IP): Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that Iran would not renegotiate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the US administration must return to the agreement.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told the European Policy Center (EPC) that the United States was sabotaging the nuclear deal.

Zarif added: "We do not need the United States’ words, but we need their actions. The United States did not allow South Korea to pay Iran's money that we were supposed to receive through Swiss banks."

Zarif noted: "US former President Donald Trump’s administration has withdrawn from JCPOA and the new US administration must return to the agreement. Iran will not negotiate on the issue that it has previously negotiated."

"We have no unusual demands and the International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed Iran's commitment," according to the Iranian Foreign Minister.

FM Zarif advised the United States to take action as soon as possible because there was little time remaining.

"We have carried out 20% enrichment for peaceful purposes and we do not make nuclear weapons and we will not use such weapons," he added.
