Iran Press/ Iran News: Mohammad Javad Zarif and Martin Griffiths, the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Yemen, met at the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday to discuss the latest developments in Yemen.
Earlier on Sunday, Ali Asghar Khaji, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Special Political Affairs, met with the UN Special Representative to discuss various issues and dimensions of the Yemeni crisis, as ways as to achieve peace and end the crisis in the country.
In this meeting, Khaji, while referring to the deplorable situation of the resilient people of Yemen and the very difficult conditions imposed on them due to the war and the oppressive economic siege, called for more intervention by the United Nations and the international community to stop the war and lift the inhuman siege.
He also announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to the people of this country in the fight against the coronavirus.
UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, arrived in Tehran on Monday to hold talks with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
