Iran press/Iran news: In an interview with Al-Aalam television network on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "The Japanese prime minister has been invited by President Rouhani to visit Tehran, and in my own trip to Tokyo the subject of Shinzo Abe's trip to Tehran was discussed."
In further remarks Zarif said: "Japan is one of our principal trading partners and we have long-established relations with Japan. We are ready to discuss a range of topics with Japan, particularly with regards to business and economic ties, bilateral relations, and the fact that we are one of Japan's main energy suppliers, we have been for a long time, and we would like our business partnership to continue into the future."
Zarif added: "Senior Iranian officials will discuss a host of issues with prime minister Abe during his visit to Tehran."
Asked by al-Aalam reporter about Iran's "ultimatum" to Europe, Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran has not issued an ultimatum to the Europeans.
"We simply urged them to honour their commitments under the JCPOA more speedily, and we informed them about our points of view," he added.
Iran has given the Europeans more than a year to honour their promises and commitments, but sadly this did not happen, even though Iran has fully honoured its commitments under the nuclear deal (JCPOA), Zarif said. 101/211
