Yemen (IP) - The Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen's National Salvation Government criticized the Saudis' successive violation of the ceasefire reached recently.

Iran PressMiddle East: The ceasefire was reached on April 2, 2022, but was violated by the Saudi coalition, according to Yemeni officials.

Hussein al-Ezzi said in a tweet on Friday that the ceasefire was being increasingly violated by the Saudi regime, the last of which was the regime's attack on the Yemeni forces settled in Ma'rib, east of Yemen.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, has launched a          military invasion of impoverished Yemen in March 2015 and a land, sea, and air siege.

"So far no flights to and from Sanaa Airport were taking place; The ships were also seized and transferred to Jizan while being inspected and licensed by the United Nations," he said.

Al-Ezzi noted that an internationally agreed ceasefire was needed to stop the war on Yemen, stressing that the Yemeni nation is facing enemies who did not respect their commitments.

Despite their expectations, the Saudi coalition forces failed to break the Yemeni people's resistance after seven years, while their infrastructures, particularly Aramco oil facilities, were hit strongly by the Yemeni army and popular committee forces.

So the Saudis gave up coming to the Yemeni government's terms, long may they could get rid of the war quagmire they made for themselves in Yemen.

The UN's Especial Envoy to the UN for Yemen's Affairs Hans Grundberg expressed concerns over the violations of the April 2 ceasefire, emphasizing that it was the responsibility of both parties to observe the ceasefire.
