Quds(IP): Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds witnessed the large presence of the Palestinian people on the occasion of the World Mosque Day and is a symbol of the unity of Muslims to protect their first Qibla.

Iran Press/Middle East: According to Iranpress, at the suggestion of Iran and the agreement of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC (, the anniversary of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on August 21, 1969 has been named as the World Mosque Day.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the importance of the World Mosque Day saying: "The [ World] Mosque Day is basically a revolutionary day; It is on the occasion of setting fire to Al-Aqsa Mosque and confronting the Zionist enemy; Look at the day of the mosque with this view and move in this direction."

Iranpress correspondent in Quds has depicted the activities of one day of the first Qibla of Muslims in a bid to re-consider the importance and position of the mosque, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, among Muslims.

Morning, afternoon, evening and Isha prayers, continuous reading of the Holy Quran, prayers and supplications are held daily in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Palestinians, especially young Palestinians, have a strong presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Zionist regime is trying to Zionize the face of Al-Aqsa Mosque with various plans. The Palestinians are against this policy and are widely present in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The continuous support of the Ummah and Islamic countries to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the continuous and meaningful presence of Palestinians in this mosque is the key to the permanence of the historical and Islamic identity of the first Qibla of Muslims.
