Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Mohammadi Golpaygani who attended the referral ceremony of the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (FPIST) stressed that the Leader of Islamic Revolution always feels danger about the split among Muslims.
"What we need today is unity and there is no difference between Sunni and Shia," he stressed.
He noted that since the rise of Islam, the unity of Muslims has always been attacked, explaining that in Safavid era thousands of Muslims, both Shia, and Sunni, fought and were killed each other, meanwhile, the British government sent agents to Iran to instigate conflict between the two sides, Iran Press reported.
Referring to the Palestine cause and Isreali regime's crime against Palestinians he added, those who claim human rights are silent, but if Muslims – who are more than one billion- to be united, the arrogant powers cannot do anything.
Mohammadi also appreciated the former Secretary-General of the FPIST Ayatollah Mohsen Araki for his hard work.
Mohammadi then read the text of the decree which has been issued by the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in which Hojjatoleslam Shahriyari was appointed as the new Secretary-General of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (FPIST).
