Tehran (IP)- During the week ending June 16, 2023, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded a total of 2,808,878 tonnes of commodities and 588 vehicles on its physical market, with a trading value exceeding $769 million.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR department, the metals and minerals trading floor saw a trade of 2,281,504 tonnes of commodities and 588 vehicles valued at over $561 million. The IME sold more than 1,2 million tonnes of cement, 547,426 tonnes of steel, 399,000 tonnes of iron ore, 104,100 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,340 tonnes of aluminum, 8,872 tonnes of copper, 1,850 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 100 tonnes of cast iron and 75 tonnes of precious metals concentrate.

The oil and petrochemical trading floor witnessed a trade volume exceeding $197 million for over half a million tons (511,237) worth of commodities traded on both domestic and export rings. The commodities traded included vacuum bottom (149k tons), bitumen (143.2k tons), polymeric products (89.5k tons), lube cut (84k tons), chemicals (37.97k tons), oil (4.247k tons), sulfur (3.2k tons), petroleum products (552 tons), feedstocks (180 tons) and insulation (170 tons).

In addition to these trades on its main floors during the same week period mentioned above; IME also traded over sixteen thousand metric tons (16.136k MT) on its side market.
